The EB bunch

A good friend of mine recently told me about what apparently makes the best racecar drivers. It’s not so much skill, ability, coordination, or reflexes, as one might assume. Rather, it’s the lack of fear for their own safety they possess for throwing themselves as close to the concrete corners as possible. They lack the basic survival instinct that supposedly comes included in the human packaging. I realize now, that is what likely makes the best players in any field, to some extent. Those whose ambition is so great that it eclipses their own safety, physically, financially, in pride, or whatever the case may be, those are the greats. Conquer that trepidation, and there is nothing left to stop you.
